    This position is remote and candidates may reside anywhere in the US. The preference for the candidate is to be located in EST.


    Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Support Resource to join our team.

    As a Financial Support Resource, you will play a crucial role in supporting Project Managers (PMs) with project accounting activities and verifying financial cost adjustments.

    You will utilize project management tools and your expertise in cost accounting to analyze complex issues and develop resolutions for assigned projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Field PMs with project accounting activities, including verifying financial cost adjustments and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
    • Utilize project management tools such as schedules, critical path analysis, budgets, change orders, risk assessment, and action item logs to analyze complex issues and develop resolutions for any financialrelated matters.
    • Create milestone plans using established templates, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
    • Verify deferred balances on projects, comparing costs versus revenue to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
    • Provide a percentage of completion information to the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
    • Calculate quarterend trailing cost inputs for finance, contributing to the accurate and timely financial reporting process.
    • Build and maintain timephased budgets for projects, monitoring and tracking expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Monitor portfolio statistics, analyzing financial performance metrics and providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Assist with Risk Expenditure Authorizations (REA) and rebaselining change orders, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Participate in Project Review preparation, contributing financial insights and analysis to support decisionmaking.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
    • Proven experience in project accounting and financial analysis, preferably in a field project management or similar role.
    • Strong proficiency in utilizing project management tools such as schedules, critical path analysis, budgets, change orders, risk assessment, and action item logs.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable resolutions.
