    At our institute, our team is united by a common goal: to contribute to innovative methods in predicting, preventing, and treating diseases, influencing the future of medicine through advanced research.

    The labs of Dr. Jeff Perry, a Structural Biologist, and Dr. Javier Gordon Ogembo, a Vaccinologist, are currently in search of a highly motivated and skilled individual to join as a postdoctoral fellow in the field of gamma-herpesvirus structural biology.

    The main objective for the postdoctoral appointee will be to uncover the mechanisms of gamma-herpesvirus entry and play a role in the development of vaccines.

    If you are seeking a challenging and engaging chance to advance your research career in oncogenic gamma-herpesviruses and cancer, we welcome you to become part of our diverse lab.

    In this role, you will:

    • Access high-quality facilities and resources for translational science in a dynamic, collaborative research setting.
    • Utilize FDA-approved facilities for the production of investigational drugs and biologics for clinical trials.
    • Work in facilities designed to meet strict regulatory standards to ensure the safety and effectiveness of developed products.
    • Collaborate with top experts as a postdoctoral fellow, contributing to cutting-edge research in viral entry, oncovirology, and vaccinology.
    • Investigate the interactions between viruses and host cells, enhancing understanding in these vital areas.
    • Immerse yourself in a stimulating research environment, enriching your career while contributing to meaningful projects.

    Your qualifications should include:

    • A Ph.D., Ph.D/DVM, or Ph.D/MD degree(s) in a related field with a solid background in protein biochemistry and structural biology.
    • Proficiency in cell culture and aseptic techniques, protein production, structural assays, immuno-assays, and molecular cloning.

    Experience in virology, cancer vaccines, T-cell immunology, and/or the use of animal models would be advantageous.
