- Assisting patients in and out of therapy equipment, such as exercise machines, parallel bars, or mats.
- Setting up equipment for therapy sessions, including adjusting machines, stocking supplies, and preparing treatment areas.
- Monitoring patients while they perform exercises to ensure they are doing them correctly and following the therapist's instructions.
- Recording patient progress and updating therapy plans, as directed by a licensed therapist.
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting patients.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and therapy rooms.
- Reporting and documenting any problems or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- High school degree or equivalent; some college-level coursework in physiology, anatomy or kinesiology preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and therapists.
- Ability to multitask, be organized and handle a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, such as using electronic medical records software.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
