    Performance Engineer

    Onsite Role at Columbus, OH

    12+ Months Contract

    Interview process – 2 steps

    Start Date: May / Beginning of June

    We're looking for a Performance Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in keeping our systems running at peak

    performance. You'll be a trusted advisor to developers and product teams, collaborating closely to ensure our applications deliver a

    seamless and responsive experience for our users, even under heavy load.

    Responsibilities:


    • Define and establish performance benchmarks and scalability goals for our systems.


    • Design and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies using industry-standard tools and methodologies.


    • Analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies.


    • Collaborate with developers and product teams to implement performance improvements.


    • Monitor production performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance incidents.


    • Develop and automate performance monitoring tools and dashboards.


    • Stay up to date on the latest performance engineering trends and best practices.


    • Proactively identify potential performance risks and opportunities for improvement.


    • Develop and implement performance testing benchmarks for POS (Point of sales) applications.

    Qualifications:


    • 7+ years of experience as a Performance Engineer or a related role.


    • Deep understanding of performance testing principles and methodologies.


    • Expertise in using performance testing tools like JMeter, Blaze meter, LoadRunner, or similar.


    • Experience with Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics


    • Solid knowledge of distributed systems and scalability concepts.


    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


    • Ability to work independently.


    • Passion for performance optimization and a keen eye for detail.


    • Experience in programming languages like Java, Python, C etc..

    Bonus Points:


    • Experience is Restaurant technology.


    • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).


    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).


    • Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python.


    • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices
