- Proactively manage inbound or outbound inquiries, build relationships, establish needs, profile groups, reference calendars for dates and updates, ensure lodging availability, select and have rates approved, create contracts and obtain signatures, set and collect deposits, detail and get sign‑off on Banquet Event Orders, create and get sign‑off on diagrams, issue rooming lists or create individual pay registrations (as applicable), collect second deposits, reconcile and issue final invoices, and collect payment.
- Serve as liaison between the customer, customer experience management team, fulfillment team, facilities/venues team, and other related teams.
- Assist with coordination of all customer group plans and related catering needs with required teams, ensuring on‑site delivery of resort products and services that result in a positive customer experience.
- Utilize relevant software for timely generation of necessary program documents including room blocks, contracts, Banquet Event Orders, final invoices, post‑customer group reports, surveys, and change logs.
- Advise customers on the current status of their group's tasks, including pending items and action items, and coordinate any necessary changes.
- Maintain program knowledge by attending planning meetings, conference calls, and reviewing customer group files and banquet event orders prior to guest arrival; partner with the group planning team to identify and resolve issues.
- Attend site and planning visits, welcome receptions, pre‑con and post‑con meetings, and any internal meetings regarding security, parking, or production; attendance is in person.
- Proactively resolve potential meeting space or lodging room issues, utilizing available resources to meet customer requests and resolve problems; ensure that meeting room requirements such as lighting, temperature, AV equipment, and furniture set‑ups meet expectations.
- Maintain current knowledge of local attractions and events to offer add‑on sale experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to walk at least 5 miles per work day, including stairs, uneven and icy ground.
- Ability to carry loads of 25 pounds between venues and buildings.
- Ability to change work days and times based on group activity at the resort.

Groups Sales Manager - Tahoe City - Granlibakken Tahoe
Description
This position will manage the sales and execution of all aspects of group business at our resort, including conferences, retreats, meetings, weddings, family reunions, and banquets. Responsibilities include customer relationship development, inquiries/leads, site-visits, proposals, planning, day-to-day on-site coordination, and exit/rebook strategies. The role also serves as a group customer advocate and liaison to all internal operational departments.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum one‑year hospitality or group sales or events experience preferred.
Excellent guest service and communication in English skills required.
Intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills required.
Experience: Previous guest service and group sales experience preferred, but not essential.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality preferred.
Pay Scale
$ per hour - Groups Sales Managers earn a base hourly wage and have a commission agreement.
