- Department: Operating Room - SRMC
- Position Type: Full Time, FTE 1.00
- Shift: Day shift
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients within scope of practice
- Ensure patient safety by following policies and protocols, identifying and reporting/correcting environmental risks, and promoting patient participation in care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate age-specific considerations and discharge planning
- Administer medication and assist with special tests/procedures
- Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and participate in ongoing professional development
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program and RN licensure in NM (or as allowed by reciprocal agreement)
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers required within 30 days
- National certification in area of specialty, PALS, and/or TNCC and/or ENPC (optional)
- Heavy work exertion required, with potential exposure to hazardous materials
