Job summary
The Survey Office Technician performs technical work as part of the survey team office staff. The job includes preparing and updating digital survey maps and sketches, inputting Geographic Information System (GIS) data; researching deeds and plats, exhibits of boundary, topographic, construction, as-built, and geodetic surveys; creating survey maps, sketches, and exhibits using digital drafting software performing survey calculations for traverse adjustments vertical network adjustments property line determinations sectional breakdowns construction layout; creating and populating GIS databases integrating spatial data preparing GIS asset maps reports converting extracting Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting data into GIS products May be required to work in the field for verifying field notes training purposes assist the field staff as necessary.
