    The Senior Data Scientist will work closely with Data Science Lead and Data Science and Analytics Manager to synthesize technical skills with business knowledge to own end-to-end development and deployment of powerful and relevant predictive models


    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan, design, and develop real-time advanced statistical/machine learning models that combine deep domain knowledge and strong analytic/critical thinking skills.
    • Takes ownership of all phases of the Data Science process, from data acquisition and feature engineering to model selection, design, and training. Ability to operationalize model and interpret/explain their results to stakeholders.
    • Create and refine real-time analytic models used to understand conversations and behaviors in order to target users with optimal messaging across different platforms and devices
    • Participate in all project phases from concept, requirements, development, test and production support
    • Explore new technologies that enable faster system construction
    • Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of client information for yourself and teamResearch new technologies and learn to apply them to improve legacy offerings and develop novel models.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Statistics or relevant field of study (math, statistics, economics, computer science)
    • Minimum 4 years' experience in role working directly with data (Data Science, analytics, engineering, etc.
    • Well versed in the application of analytic techniques and predictive modeling
    • Practical ability to visualize data, communicate about the data, and utilize it effectively

    PREFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience with SAS or R
    • Experience working with payer-side healthcare data, including medical claims, standardized CMS files such as MMRs and MORs, etc.
