    Description


    A large chemical operation needs a senior process control/automation engineer;This is a multi-disciplinary and key role working across a complex, siteKey Points/MUST have :Experience with integrated PLC systemsExperience with process controls, automation, in a plant setting, not design engineeringEngineering degree - electrical, chem, or relevant other technical degreeMore InfoWork with, through and between ops, site engineering, EHS, etc, on all things process controlWork with and upgrade/integrate site-wide PLC systemsWork within a PSM environment and frameworkAll types of "usual" process automation in an operation with large compressors, reaction areas, misc rotating equipment large and smallMake training programs for ops; conduct trainingIdeally able to manage upgrading major process areas as part of a large ongoing set of projects, managing internal work and subcontractorsHeavily oriented toward in-operation work, not design.

    Depending on experience, there may be additional opportunitiesRequired/preferredDegree in engineeringExperience in as much of the above as possibleMust know PLC systems well; Rockwell/Allen Bradley is great, but others ok, too.

    Most experience in a plant or multi-plant/site settingMust be good with people This is a position working across groups; a key strategic roleAble to work in an active plant setting with potentially hazardous areasSalary is at or over $135,000 (can be a fair bit over depending on experience)
