- Amentum is seeking an CNC Machine Repair Technician at the subject matter expert level to join our Facilities - Operations and Maintenance team based in Durham, NC. This is for our 2nd shift ( Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 p.m. EST)
- Maintains, improves, and troubleshoots, Machine Tools, Automated and CNC Machines with PLC and distributed I/O control systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens 7, GE, Emerson, Reliance, Omron, Ceda, Honeywell and related controllers.
- Must be well versed in robots and robotic control systems such as Fanuc , ABB, Mazatrol Kuka, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, Denso and Mitsubishi.
- The CNC Machine Repair Technician must have the ability to identify troubleshoot and correct any operational or safety-related issues and perform independent equipment root cause evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
- Programs, modifies and interfaces with various MMI (HMI) devices.
- Demonstrates through understanding of AC/DC motor control, including thyrister drives such as Siemens, ABB, Omron, Reliance, Saftronics, Klockner Moeller, Ceda, GE, Westinghouse.
- Two of experience as a Machine Tool Technician in an industrial production environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience troubleshooting Fanuc / Allen Bradley / Siemens 7 / Mitsubishi 840d controllers.
