Staff Accountant

Salary Range: $50K-$70K - commensurate with Experience

Assist Controller and CFO with managing accounting for multiple master planned residential real estate development projects::

• Complete month/quarter/year-end close including preparation of G/L entries across multiple sets of books for different equity partners.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all entities
• Manage Bi-Monthly AP process, including coordination of internal approvals
• Maintain Vendor Management Program
• Submit monthly draw requests
• Support annual financial audit process (internal and/or external)
• Coordinate change order processing with internal management
• Maintain Lot Detail Inventory spreadsheet (lot information/ takedowns, lot premiums)
• Manage reconciliation of new and existing reimbursement agreements with all parties, including projecting, submitting, and tracking payments. Including but not limited to:
  • PID/MUD
  • CoServ Natural Gas Reimbursement
  • Other cost sharing and/or reimbursement agreements
• Coordinate billing and tracking:
  • Security Reimbursements
  • Lot Mows
  • Miscellaneous billings
• Assist with the maintenance of the SOP manual
• Provide support for ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• At least two years' experience in accounting or a related field
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports
