    Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients an Electrical Combustion Engineer - Hybrid position in Davenport, IA, US.

    This position is subject to Export Control Law

    This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.


    Our company is looking for a Thermal and Combustion Engineer to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) business unit in Davenport, IA.


    Responsibilities:

    Coordinate all phases of assigned area thermal engineering projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, design, manufacturing, installation, equipment commissioning, and project closure

    Maintain a working relationship with vendors and current contractors of thermal and combustion equipment and be knowledgeable of external developments

    Lead and participate in problem solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and production. Drive resolution of chronic problems within area of expertise & organize support from other resources when necessary.

    Use PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and provide input to solve problems

    Create and develop combustion control solutions that will support process improvements and improve equipment reliability

    Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues

    PLC/HMI and controls redesign and upgrades of existing processes

    May mentor employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and process

    While this position is a primarily day-shift position, off-hours support will be required as needed.

    Participate in technical assessments of equipment

    Optimization of process equipment

    Provide equipment, control, and process training to the technical base.

    Develop and deploy standard practices

    Provide engineering and operational support for large capital improvement projects

    Sponsor, participate, and occasionally lead development projects

    Be relied upon by plant resources for advice and direction on capital and process solutions

    Ability to navigate Rockwell PLC's for troubleshooting a plus


    Requirements


    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Electrical and Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with PLC experience (at time of employment)

    Minimum 1 internship, co-op or other applicable work experience (co-op, internships can be included)

    Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with combustion systems (maintenance) a plus.

    3 years' experience with PLC's, HMI's, AC/DC drives & motors and measuring instruments

    Proficiency with Rockwell programming software (i

    3 years or more of experience in leading electrical projects

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project programs
