    Description
    Remote SERVICENOW CMDB CONSULTANT needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in San Antonio

    US citizenship required; Secret Clearance required; Top Secret preferred Responsibilities :


    • Setting up a CMDB process comprising analysis, plan, design and implement phase.
    • Manage all customer CMDB's end to end and run scheduled report outs.
    • Provide configuration management support to multiple IT projects simultaneously.
    • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the configuration management field and ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
    • Must have experience in implementing and using configuration management for multi-environment IT applications.
    • Ability to implement and work on various IT Infra & Application using ServiceNow Discovery & Service Mapping is a prerequisite.
    • Having deep knowledge of Business Service Maps and configure Availability reporting is a must
    • Ability to engage customers and operation teams to resolve root cause issues in a positive, non-adversarial manner.
    • Demonstrate proven leadership skills, be an independent performer and be able to deliver with minimal or no supervision.
    • Should have experience in describing provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
    • Great organization skills to prioritize, follow up, deliver, and communicate status of assigned actions.
    • Deep analytical skills to understand complex procedural problems, identify root causes and provide Qualifications

    Analysis skills:
    Ability to evaluate the current environment, gather needs, and propose a recommended CM (Config Mgmt) solution

    Design/architect skills:
    Ability to define and design CM standards for the technology

    CM process skills:
    Ability to define manageable CM processes (check-out/check-in, merge, build, release, etc.) and implement them

    Scripting skills:
    Ability to automate major processes

    Basic networking skills:
    Knowledge of Infrastructure / Networking, Networking Protocols, WMI, Subnet masks, SNMP etc.


    • Customer service and communication skills: Ability to work graciously with users while resolving their issues

    Training and facilitation skills:
    Ability to prepare CM technology and process training for users and the ability to deliver the training effectively
    Education


    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field (computer science, engineering)
    • Experience level minimum of 3 years

    Specialized certifications a plus Certifications:

    • ServiceNow Security Incident Response Implementation (Highly Preferred)
    • ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Implementation (Highly Preferred)
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Preferred)
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Service Management (Preferred)
