Must-haves:

6-8 years of related experience

Must have practical experience in conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, field quality assurance testing, site grading, and supervising construction materials testing

Must have a P.E. license

BS or MS in Civil Engineering

Plusses:

• Geotechnical background

Schedule:

• 5 days a week on site
• 8 - 5pm
• Some travel to other work sites but not a travel role

Day to Day:

This position requires a commitment to managing the department for continued growth with a strong emphasis on marketing and business development.

The Construction Materials Department Manager oversees and manages the materials testing and all laboratory operations.

Other responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of engineers and project managers, overseeing projects, performing report reviews, preparing proposals, managing departmental P&L, and assisting other senior staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
