    Financial Analyst - Grants Management

    $60, $115,094.00

    The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Financial Analyst - Grants Management. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Finance and Treasury (OFT) Debt and Grant Unit. The incumbent will have the responsibility for assisting the Grants and Debt management team with the day-to-day managing of specified District's funds.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing the Cash Management Improvement Act (CMIA) output.
  • Assisting the Grants Manager and ensuring the District compliance with the CMIA and the filing of the annual report.
  • Recording daily revenue deposits received in the District's Grants bank account.
  • Creating and transmitting a daily report that shows unrecorded Grant revenue.
  • Recording and reconciling journal entries and other Grant related transactions.
  • Serving as a liaison to all parties within and outside of the District Government on matters related to Grant funds.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years of progressive work experience performing related duties and responsibilities such as: preparing financial reports, conducting financial analysis, reconciling journal entries, and recording accounting entries for financial and grants related transactions. The incumbent must have exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.

    In addition - Applicant must have a bachelor's degree earned at an accredited US institution in accounting or related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 12 semester hours in accounting. This can include up to three (3) hours of business law. Applicants must submit an official transcript that verifies a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 12 semester credit hours in accounting in order to be considered. If applicable, your application package must include a foreign credential course by course evaluation of all foreign transcripts. Acceptable foreign credential equivalency reports must be provided by organizations that have current membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE).
