    SummaryMass General Brigham is seeking an individual with experience working with board members and senior executives to serve as Director, Board Relations.

    In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic support to the Chief of Staff, the Corporate Secretary, and other members of the CEO's team, leading all aspects of board meeting preparation and execution.

    This person will also collaborate closely with the Office of General Counsel on matters relating to corporate governance.

    It is a challenging and rewarding role that requires outstanding organizational, leadership, communication skills, and flexibility.

    The Director of Board Relations is a key member of the CEO's administrative team, will support the Chief of Staff, and interact with members of the executive leadership team.


    Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Support:

    Serve as an integral member of the CEO Suite's team, establishing and maintaining a rapport with senior leaders within Mass General Brigham and in the healthcare community at large.

    Understand major initiatives and activities related to the critical initiatives and operations of Mass General Brigham and advance meaningful topics for review with board members.

    Engage with key groups across Mass General Brigham including the Office of General Counsel, Marketing, Government Affairs, Community Health, and others.

    Plan and coordinate activities and events on behalf of the CEO and the COS, including board events, receptions, and meetings including the Annual Meeting of the Corporation.

    Collaborate with other boards within the Mass General Brigham enterprise to ensure consistency and communications.


    Board Meetings:


    Coordinate Mass General Brigham board meetings, including handling agendas, preparing materials, and working with members of the executive team who present materials at board meetings or support board committees.

    Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel to ensure good corporate governance including compliance with governance documents.
    Ensure that the Board of Directors is well-informed.

    QualificationsQualificationsThe ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree requiredProven track record to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

    Proven experience organizing and planning eventsStrong written and verbal communications skills Proven experience working with senior executivesExcellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts, concisely, and professionallyTechnical skills, familiarity with virtual meeting technology, PowerPoint, ExcelAbility to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forwardFamiliarity with corporate governance is preferredWorking ConditionsNeed to use a computer and associated software.
