- Department: Rush Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Under direct supervision and according to established policies and procedures , the Exercise Physiologist is responsible for performing physician ordered exercise and pharmacologic stress testing.
- Shall be clinically and technically competent to independently perform the stress test component for exercise stress testing in both Nuclear Medicine and Stress Echocardiography for the adult population.
- Performs Exercise programs for patients in the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, monitors patient's vitals in response to exercise and collaborates with RN/APN and physicians in Cardiac Rehab department.
- Performs cardiac diagnostic stress testing, which includes treadmill, pharmacological and nuclear stress test and resting ECG.
- Ability to assess level of patient care and any contraindications to performing diagnostic stress test.
- Proficient knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation telemetry monitoring, Scottcare system.
- Exercise Physiology or related field with experience in all aspects of exercise and pharmacological stress testing and cardiac rehab programs.
