6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Project Accountant in Cobb County. This role supports project and construction teams by managing project-level accounting activities, including draws, change orders, and cost reporting. The Project Accountant will partner closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate financial tracking, compliance, and timely processing in a fast-paced environment. This role is fully in office for the first 90 days and then there is performance based flexibility for 1 day work from home. This company has very low turnover and an excellent culture
Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers with draw requests, change orders, and project cost reporting.
Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice coding and reconciliation.
Maintain project budgets, vendor documentation, delivery tickets, and project files.
Support audits, sales tax reporting, and professional communication with vendors and internal teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Prior experience in project or construction accounting strongly preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Timberline preferred.
