    Researches and evaluates data to make recommendations to management about ways to improve data storage, reporting,
    importing, and other business issues.


    Duties:


    Designs and develops Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes for data warehouses, gathers requirements, and creates and maintains dimensional data sets and relational structures.

    Establishes and maintains data modeling standards.

    Collects, analyzes, mines, and helps the business leverage the information stored in data warehouses.

    Performs data warehouse technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts and presents recommendations.

    Recommends architectural changes that maximize system performance, stability and maintainability.

    Develops, implements, tests, and maintains data management systems and infrastructures.

    Designs and builds optimal extraction, transformation, and loading processes for data from a wide variety of data sources.

    Participates in troubleshooting and tweaking of current data warehouse applications to spot and correct errors.

    Researches and recommends technology solutions related to data storage, reporting, importing, and other business concerns.

    Develops new or improved data warehouse components.

    Defines the user interfaces for managing the interaction between data warehouses and data marts.

    Collaborates with Business Intelligence Analysts and Developers to translate data requirements into logical data models.


    Identifies and implements internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.

    Ensures systems meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.

    Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

    Job Requirements

    Required education: Bachelor's Degree, and

    24 months experience in database systems, creating metadata, developing ETL processes, use of several reporting tools, or related experience

    Equivalency/Substitution:
    Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience


    Skills:

    Working knowledge of the fundamentals of data warehouse

    Research, analysis, and problem solving skills

    Working knowledge of relational database theory

    Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to listen

    Ability to work independently and as a team member

    Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

    Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions

    Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines


    Advertised Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to engage in repetitive motions. Manual dexterity. Ability to sit for short or extended periods of time
