- Available to work varying shifts scheduled between 7:00 am to 2:00 am weekdays, weekends, and including being on-call over nights. Some check-in shifts may begin earlier than 7:00am.

- Assist with summer housing check-in and check-out processes
- Assist with individual and/or group check-in and check-out procedures
- Assist with all aspects of the individual or group's stay including but not limited to the registration, distributing conference cards, and room keys
- Ensure accurate record keeping with tracking conference card numbers and room key numbers for security and billing purposes
- Assist with general office administration tasks as it relates to the individual camp or conferences
- Assist with guest hospitality support services
- Assist with room accommodations to ensure rooms are set and ready to go
- Assist with safety and security of guests within the assigned residence hall
- Assist with facility management such as hall inspections, notifications to housekeeping or maintenance staff regarding room or hall issues
- Serve as on-call staff when not working the desk to ensure proper services are being provided to the guests

Job Summary/Basic Function
Summer Conference Assistants (SCAs) work for the University Housing and Conference Services ( UHCS ) Office and are often the first point of contact that summer guests will have with the University and it is important to be clear and concise with our communication, kind and resourceful with our intentions, and confident in our practices and protocols to ensure a safe and successful visit or stay. In all instances, even a two-night stay or one-day conference can make a lasting impression for the customer.
Above all, a SCA must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Compensation for this position includes:
- $540.00/per pay period
- Room in South Village at no-charge
- Meal plan at no-charge when dining meal plans are available.
