Manager, Electrical Engineering
This position will report to the Senior Manager of Product Lifecycle Management within the North American engineering organization. Position will coordinate all PLM activities from electrical and systems engineering disciplines to fulfill defined project and product requirements.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Drive performance to plan and achieve schedule, requirements, and financial commitments
Coach, lead, and mentor team members; mentoring less experienced engineers, train new employees, Team Building as well as sharing information and experience with staff are important skills.
Effective delegation of work packagesLead the electrical engineering team to address program risk and issues; create, maintain, and drive action plans to closure
This position will include oversight of project schedules, budget, product cost targets, technical performance, and quality
Organize and conduct program status reviews, team meetings, and various other regular departmental activities
Develop process improvements for design, test, release, and implementation phases of electrical development
Manage resource allocation to address competing priorities from field, marketing, and other internal and external customers.
Communicate effectively with customers and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve common goals
Participate in all administrative activities including hiring, compensation planning and performance management.
Work effectively through all phases of design and manufacturing, including development and implementation of solutions to meet customer requirements
Track and report progression of multiple projects
Provide technical leadership to the team and ensure project deliverables are met overseeing the design of productsor systems

Sound Electrical Engineering background
Systems- and controls engineering experience
Coaching, mentoring, and the willingness to learn critical skills together with the team

The ability to work well with a wide range of people
Ability to collaborate with many other teams
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Elevator systems knowledge is a big plus
Education Requirements
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with 10+ years experience
MA/MS degree with 5 to 7+ years experience
5+ years of experience including:
Schedule & Risk management
Continuous Improvement (people, product, process)
Working with cross-functional teams within a formal phase-gate process
Stakeholder negotiations
Meeting facilitation
