AECOM
is seeking a
Structural Engineer Intern/Co-op
to be based in
Boston, Massachusetts.
This position is expected to begin in the Summer of 2024.
This Intern position is to work under the direction of project engineers and team members to assist in the design, analysis, or inspection of bridge and tunnel projects.
Work could include producing design calculations, plans, estimates, specifications, performing inspections, or writing technical reports, under the direction of senior staff.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assist with report writing and setup.
Development of field forms.
Assist with data entry, editing, and creation of drawings and tables/charts.
Development of plans and details utilizing CAD.
Development of engineering calculations utilizing examples and guidance of senior engineers.
Support senior and junior engineers with engineering-related tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering with the intent to continue after the internship unless graduating.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Excel and MS Word.
Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD and MathCAD.
Experience with modeling software.
Additional Information

This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in
Boston, Massachusetts .
The selected candidate must be available to work in
Boston, Massachusetts
on a scheduled basis.
Offered rate of compensation (Massachusetts locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The hourly range for this position is
$23 - $25/hr .
