- 1 year of hands-on machine shop experience or equivalent education

Responsibilities:We currently have an opening for an entry-level 1st shift Machinist at our Torrance, California location. In this full-time hourly position, you will set up and operate manual, automatic, cutoff and abrasive saws, punch press equipment and deburring machines, as well as honing machines, drilling machines, EDM, lathes, centerless grinders and other tools. Youll perform complete in-process operations on envelope assemblies and other parts requiring precision honing, such as TWT electron gun drilling and machining. In addition, you will review transfer sheet details and work on discrepancies, carefully review and understand customer requirements before working on them, and work to reduce scrap and dispose of unavoidable scrap to the proper area.
