    Machinist Department Supervisor
    We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Department Supervisor to lead our Secondary Wire Forming, Benchwork, and Machining operations. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to train and mentor a technical team. The Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensure safe and efficient equipment use, and help drive consistent, high-quality production output.
    Responsibilities
    • Supervise and support all activities within the Secondary Wire Forming, Benchwork, and Machine Shop departments.
    • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of manual and CNC equipment.
    • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and skill development for team members.
    • Ensure safe work practices, proper use of tooling and fixtures, and adherence to all company quality standards.
    • Coordinating scheduling and priorities with other departments leads to maintain smooth production flow.
    • Communicate daily with Engineering to review workloads, lead times, and upcoming projects.
    • Support accurate quoting efforts by providing technical insight on process requirements and timing.
    • Monitor productivity, address operational issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating strong work ethic, technical expertise, and a commitment to team success.
    Qualifications and Skills
    • Proven experience as a machinist, toolmaker, or in a comparable technical manufacturing role.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
    • Experience with manual and CNC machines, setups, tooling, and precision measurement equipment.
    • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
    Benefits/Compensation
    • Full Time
    • Pay Rate is $30-$35 per hour
    • Shift 1st shift 8a-4:30p
    • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
    • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
    • Temp-To-Hire
    • Benefits after Probation period
