Description

A growing retail company in the East Valley is looking to add an Accounting Supervisor to spearhead all rebate accounting.

This role will oversee 2 Accountants and about $50 million annually in rebates. Please apply here to be considered

Responsibilities:
Supervise two senior rebate accountants, overseeing 135+ rebate programs across 47+ rebate vendor s totaling ~$47M annually
Manage various general ledger accounts and month-end and year-end close processes
Support the implementation and effectiveness of all back-end vendor rebate programs
Maintain vendor rebate revenue to ensure all rebate opportunities are recognized, maximized, claimed, and compliant with vendor and internal finance requirements
Acts as a liaison with product management and vendors to analyze and account for rebate revenue
Create month end journal entries and perform rebate account reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and documenting the supporting evidence
Review direct report's journal entries and vendor reconciliations providing feedback where necessary
Lead monthly rebate meeting to share financials and program findings with senior leadership team
Other ad hoc reporting based on business needs

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
5-7 years of experience in accounting
Supervisor experience a plus
Automotive/Retail industry experience a huge plus
CPA preferred
Excellent Analytical Skills
Strong communication /presentation skills.
Proficiency in Excel, including SUMIFs, XLOOKUPS, and pivot tables
Ability to use complex formulas and analyze large quantities of data
Ability to articulate processes and research results
