Join the team at On The Road Diagnostics & Repairs, LLC, a fast-growing company that values expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a qualified Tractor Mechanic to contribute to the maintenance and repairs of diesel engine units.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on tractors, including fluid changes, filter replacements, and safety inspections of key components.
Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and resolve mechanical issues with tractors and trailers. Included but not limited to repairs of engine, hydraulic, transmission, electrical systems, brakes, A/C, etc.. Conduct efficient and effective repairs to ensure peak performance.
Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Utilize computerized systems for work order management, parts inventory, and tractor history.
Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of tractors to proactively identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with fellow mechanics and team members to facilitate a smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers regarding maintenance updates and repair timelines.
Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, providing on-site repairs when required. Prioritize safety and efficiency in all emergency repair situations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a Tractor & Trailer, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing tractor components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized systems, Fullbay knowledge is a plus
Safety Focus: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and working in compliance with industry regulations.
Team Player: Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team environment. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to efficiently diagnose and address mechanical issues.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours.
