    Job Details:

    • Work 12-hour night shifts in the PICU
    • May occasionally float to NICU, CVICU, IMU, or Burn ICU as needed
    • Floating is required within the ICU cluster and travelers are first to float
    • Every other weekend schedule required
    • No on-call responsibilities, but holidays are required as needed
    • Schedule is manager/scheduler driven
    • 3 years of recent PICU experience required
    • Previous travel experience (1-2 assignments) required
    • Recent EPIC EMR experience required
    • Active Arkansas or Compact License required

    Required certifications:
    BLS, ACLS, and PALS


    • Must pass fit test with no facial hair unless for religious beliefs
    • Must test negative for nicotine
    • Expect 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing
    • Follow facility dress code requirements
    • Nurse-to-patient ratios: PICU 1:1-2, IMCU 1:3-4
    • Work with EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication system
    • Care for patients with respiratory distress, CRRT, ECMO, post arrest, trauma, neuro conditions, surgical post-ops, and various pediatric specialties
    • Collaborate with CNA/PCT support (1-2 per shift), residents, fellows, and attending physicians

    This major pediatric healthcare facility is a 359-bed trauma level 1 teaching hospital specializing in comprehensive children's healthcare services. The facility features a 26-bed PICU and 13-bed IMCU, providing advanced critical care for pediatric patients.

    The organization maintains high standards of care with specialized equipment including ECMO capabilities, advanced ventilator support, and comprehensive transport systems.

    The facility emphasizes education and child life services, with specialists actively involved in meeting unique educational needs during prolonged hospitalizations.
