    Job Duties -Collaborate with a compact team of developers to conceptualize, develop, and deploy both prototype and production-ready database solutions that meet required functionality.

    Design and implement efficient database structures to support organizational requirements, ensuring they align with business goals and operational needs.
    Monitor and maintain database performance, stability, security, and scalability to ensure optimal system functionality and reliability.
    Develop, implement, and support comprehensive backup and recovery strategies, safeguarding critical data assets against potential threats and losses.
    Conduct regular database audits to identify and address potential issues, maintaining stringent data integrity and compliance standards.
    Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure clear and proactive information exchange.
    Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives within the organization.
    Perform database capacity planning and forecasting to prepare for future growth and ensure efficient resource allocation.
    Implement and maintain rigorous database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption, to protect sensitive information.

    Lead and contribute to all stages of database project implementations, from inception through deployment, ensuring milestones and objectives are met.

    Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.

    Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies, continuously refining database management techniques and adopting innovations that enhance business operations.

    Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

    Design and implement solution architectures tailored to the technical needs of internal tools, leveraging advanced technologies like AWS-RDS SQL Server and Snowflake for cloud-based database management.

    Serve as the Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for database components, adapting strategies to meet evolving business requirements and integrating data from diverse sources using ETL scripting and BI reporting tools.

    Utilize expert SQL skills to design and optimize data models, schemas, and table structures for efficient querying and data analysis within a variety of database environments.


    • Collaborate with a compact team to support MS SQL databases as utilized by network monitoring tools platforms such as SolarWinds Orion and LiveNX.
    • Design and implement efficient database structures to support organizational
    requirements.

    • Monitor and maintain database performance, ensuring optimal stability, security, and scalability.
    • Develop, implement and support backup and recovery strategies, safeguarding critical data assets.
    • Conduct regular database audits to identify potential issues and maintain data
    integrity.

    Strong communication and collaboration skills:
    The database administrator should be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

    The candidate must be capable of understanding and translating business requirements into technical solutions and working collaboratively to support data- driven decision-making within the organization.

    • Design and implement solution architectures that cater to database-related technical needs of internal tools, leveraging AWS-RDS SQL Server as the primary cloud-based database.
    • Serve as the Technical Subject Matter Expert for database components of the solution, adapting to evolving business requirements concerning data acquisition from diverse sources, data normalization, aggregation through ETL scripting, and compatibility with BI reporting tools.
    • Utilize strong SQL skills and expertise in designing and optimizing data models,
    schemas, and table structures to support efficient querying and data analysis within the
    Snowflake and other database environment.

    • Design and implement MS SQL Always-ON Clustering.
    • Design SQL queries in SSMS as well as PowerShell scripts for maintenance of tooling platform data.
    Job Requirements -Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server in an enterprise environment.
    Proven expertise in SQL database performance tuning, job automation, backups, and clustering.
    Extensive knowledge in managing cloud-based database systems, preferably with experience in AWS-RDS SQL Server or Snowflake.
    Strong understanding of Snowflake
    Strong understanding of database security protocols and disaster recovery techniques.
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    US citizenship required.
    Excellent communication skills, with a capability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.


    • Ability to work autonomously, proactively, and remotely within a cross-functional
    organization.


    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Comprehensive experience with database server technologies, performance tuning,
    scripting with MS SQl Server.


    • Experience and familiarity with Snowflake's unique features is desirable.
    • Functional programming experience in PowerShell is considered an asset.
    • Familiarity with Agile working environments.
    • Management of personal knowledge base tools is advantageous.
    • Prior experience in a consultative role, handling intricate, customer-facing projects.
    • Adaptable to learning new technologies as needed.
    • Capable of educating and training small groups.
    • US Citizen
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise class
    application databases & applications.


    • Bachelor's Degree - ideally in computer science, engineering, or other STEM discipline.
    Desired Skills & Experience -Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
    Experience with Snowflake's data warehousing and BI tools integration.
    Proficient in Agile project management methodologies.
    Functional programming skills, particularly in PowerShell.
    Previous consulting experience or role in customer-facing projects.
