The Executive Director serves as the head of the Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Areas (CACFA). The position is responsible for coordinating and administering all activities of the commission and advisory committees. Key responsibilities include developing and promoting efforts to address issues related to federal land management regulations, plans, policies,- facilitate CACFA Policy:
- Facilitate communication between commission members legislature federal staff officials public interest groups state/national/international focused on management federal lands.
