    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Beat The Bomb is looking for an Operations Trainer who will assist the location teams in opening new Beat The Bomb locations, as well as support ongoing training for existing sites. With support from the Senior Operations Team, location GMs, AGM's, and Team Leaders from existing locations, the Operations Trainer will recruit, assess, and create opening teams consisting of leads from existing locations. In addition to on-the-ground training for openings, the Operations Trainer will help existing sites revamp SOPs and provide support for the continued education of our hourly staff and management teams. This position will be expected to travel 20-24 weeks throughout the year. Core responsibilities will include:
    • New venue set up (ordering and receiving supplies, decor, storage organization)
    • Coordinating Cross Location Training for new GMs and AGM's (i.e., new Philadelphia GM training in the existing Brooklyn location)
    • Executing interviews alongside location GMs, AGM's, and Events Managers in efforts of selecting opening leads
    • Identifying Team Leads (Game Runner Lead, Kitchen Lead, Bar Lead, Event Coordinators, and Event Hosts) from the recruitment process
    • Coordinating with GMs and their Scheduling Operations Managers in existing locations to have their leads assist in training at the opening location
    • Adapting training materials to each location
    • Constructing a detailed training schedule for the opening team across all departments
    • Leading on key training sessions
    • Offering on the ground support to location teams in any department as they open to the public
    • Supporting SOP management and updates across all locations
    • Helping location teams execute ongoing training
    • Taking part in planning meetings for openings, trainings, and special projects
    Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of Operations Manager or Assistant General management experience. GM a plus.
    • 3+ years as a Corporate Trainer, Regional Trainer, or Director of Training within a food service organization with full bar service experience a plus
    • Experience as a leader of a new unit/location from inception to Grand Opening required
    • Experience building and leading a team required
    • Experience in an experiential business, a plus
    • Strong communication skills (listening, written, verbal, facilitation) and the ability to interact with all levels of management
    • Enthusiastic teacher and motivational speaker
    • Tech Savvy - the ability to use computers, smartphones, tablets, manage through tech maintenance, repairs, and fixes; can learn new software quickly and easily
    • Handy Hands - the ability to troubleshoot problems, comfortable with tools. Comfortable using a drill, wrench, socket wrenches and other common tools that would be required in maintaining the bomb room.
    • Safety Management - ability to identify safety protocols required in operating heavy machinery or equipment. Familiar with Hazard prevention controls and OSHA regulations.
    • High level of interpersonal savvy
    • Must have a strong sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently and make effective well-thought-out decisions
    • Experience with the Google Suite, Notion, or another project management software
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Able to be on the road up to 24 weeks (out of the year)
