    Basic Job Functions:

    The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and practices, as well as experience in industrial manufacturing.

    The responsibilities of the Reliability Engineer will include but not limited to:

    • Identify and manage asset reliability risks
    • Develop and implement reliability improvement plans
    • Conduct root cause analysis of failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence
    • Measure and monitor system reliability
    • Support the development and maintenance of system documentation
    • Develop standards and oversee equipment rebuilds to ensure proper materials and practices are followed

    Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering. Proficiency in reliability analysis tools such as FMEA and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certifications in reliability, such as CMRP, CRE, Six Sigma
