00 Salary/yearJob CategoryTechnologyDescriptionThe IT Infrastructure Operations Manager role is responsible for overseeing personnel and the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure. Infrastructure areas of responsibility include wireless networks, switches, routers, firewalls, wired networks, servers, storage, backups. This role includes managing and mentoring the infrastructure team as well as our data center.

The Infrastructure Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining the current infrastructure to support ministry operations and for developing new strategies to plan for future improvements.

The ideal candidate is comfortable leading a team, setting priorities, and asking the right questions to ensure focus remains on the goals of Answers in Genesis.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the effort to design, plan, and implement infrastructure technology solutions to support ministry operations.
Handle resource allocation of the team across projects and support requests and manage the after hours support rotation.
Monitor and maintain enterprise systems and environments to ensure service level agreements are met and security compliance is maintained.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures that promote a secure and reliable IT infrastructure to support all aspects of the ministry.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and operations of IT infrastructure.

Drive processes to adequately forecast for new services and growth of existing services while simultaneously implementing opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies.

Manager security and operation of the data center and disaster recovery plan.
Offer leadership and coaching as you manage staff performance.
Work with vendors to negotiate additional service features and price.
Manage the resources to be used in support of network and server related projects.
Provide leadership and hands-on technical direction in troubleshooting problems and addressing break-fix situations.
Pursue training opportunities on relevant technologies to help identify ongoing technological improvements.
Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
QualificationsRequirementsResponsible, self-motivated, well-organized with good time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize projects and tasks to meet ministry goals.
Maintain a consistent walk with the Lord and regular church attendance.

Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.5+ years networking or systems experience.3+ years in a management role.

CompTIA Network+, Server+ or other certifications a plus.
