Mission

As Software

Test Engineer atPLD Space, your mission is to design, develop, execute, and maintain test items and testing infrastructures.

You will play a keyrole in the validation and verification of critical Software of the launch vehicles software lifecycle, and in the development of itsassociated documentation and reports .

Responsibilities
Designand document software test plans.
Developand execute test cases for the different avionics' softwareitems.
Collaboratewith the HW V&V teamin the avionics' setup fortest benches.
Develop,monitor,and review testing designs and code implementations of ourproviders/consultants in a co-engineering approach to ensure compliance withrequirements.
Reportbugs or disconformities with requirements of the SW items to the developmentteam.
Generatetest reports documentation of the softwareitems.
Developand design unit and integrationtests of avionics and flight software system.
Required Knowledge
Experiencewith unit and integration testing both in the hostand on target.
Experiencewith system testing and automated testing scripts and tools.
Good Knowledgeof C/C++,python,and scripting languages (bash, tclor others).
Previousexperience working for projects under ECSS standards.
Experiencetesting critical systems for medical, aeronautics, automotive or spaceindustries.
Familiaritywith hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing.

Experiencewith technical documentation (Test plans, Test cases, Test procedures, TestReports, etc)for critical SW compliance with standards like ECSS-ST-40C, DO-178C or others.

Experiencewith Software Testing tools like LDRA, Vector-Cast, Rapita,Cantata,GoogleTest,CuTe,Polyspace,or others.
Required

Competencies
B.S. degree or higher in

Computer Science engineering, Aerospace engineering, Telecommunications engineering or anappropriate engineeringfield.
4+ years of experience working in related positions.
Desired Competencies
Experienceworking under AGILE principles during softwareproducts development.
Experiencewith DevOps/CI tools like Jenkins, Travis, etc.
Experiencewith static testing tools like SonarQube, Helix PRQAorothers.
Experiencewith laboratory tools like Oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.
LabVIEWprogramming experience for test benches development.
Experiencewith Test Stand tool for Testing of LabVIEW programs.
Team

player able to work different tasks in parallel.
Ability to work in an autonomously driven anddemanding start

up atmosphere.
Fluency in written and verbal communication, bothSpanish and English.
