Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring all Xtrudex equipment and facilities are operating efficiently, effectively, and safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as fittings, lubricators, hoses, and coils.
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing, and/or replacing AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, starters, relays, switches, timers, servo driven equipment, photo electrical devices, transducers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and encoders.
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
• Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as extruders, injection presses, hydraulic die cutting presses, air compressors, chiller systems, material dryers, and power industrial equipment.
• Assists in the specification of production equipment and the selection, purchase, and installation into the plant.
• Facility maintenance of overhead doors, loading docks, bathrooms, offices, lighting, etc.
• Manages maintenance room tooling and equipment.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance work in a complete and timely manner.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Effectively communicates and coordinates with external vendors as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Product testing as needed.
• Assist in production areas when needed.
• Occasional renovation work including carpet/tile, cabinetry, drywall, paint, etc.
