Travel L&D RN opportunity in Attleboro, MA — Nights, 14-week contract; 2+ years L&D experience and active Massachusetts RN license required.

Nights — 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00);
36 hours per week

Weekend Coverage:
Every other weekend required
Patient Population:
Neonates and adults (perinatal, intrapartum, postpartum)
Vaccine Requirements:
COVID-19 and flu vaccinations per facility policy
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (perinatal/obstetric nursing)
Active Massachusetts RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and AWHONN Beginner certifications (required)
AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications (preferred)
Travel nursing experience required; prior travel L&D RN assignments preferred
Cerner EMR experience preferred, but not required
Compliance with facility vaccination policy (COVID-19 required; flu medical exemptions allowed)
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 15-bed L&D unit
Perform antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum assessments and interventions
Monitor fetal heart rate tracings using EFM and IUPC; recognize and manage abnormal patterns
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and immediate newborn care
Administer medications and therapies including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and pain management
Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education and newborn care teaching
Educate and support families on newborn care, discharge teaching, and baby-friendly protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, physical therapy, and social services
Utilize OMNICELL medication system and SBAR communication; maintain accurate documentation
Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols
