A Day in the Life:
The Home of the Innocents, Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center is a skilled nursing facility providing short-term, long-term, and respite care for pediatric residents with diverse medical, developmental, and physical needs, including congenital abnormalities, traumatic injuries, developmental disabilities, self-harming behaviors, seizures, and complex respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
As the Director of Clinical Compliance, you will lead the clinical compliance initiatives at the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center under the direction of the Vice President of Nursing.
Collaborating with various stakeholders including the Medical Director, Interdisciplinary Team, Nursing Leadership, and Infection Prevention (IP) and QAPI Specialist, you will ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and facility standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Your role is pivotal in upholding the mission of the Home of the Innocents and ensuring the well-being of children, families, and team members.
Director of Clinical Compliance Schedule:
Flex Schedule, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/Week
Director of Clinical Compliance Responsibilities:
Lead and support compliance initiatives focusing on quality assurance, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
Oversee the management and release of medical records to ensure compliance with all standards and regulations
Direct the Infection Prevention, Vaccination, and Skin and Wound programs, aligning them with quality and infection prevention initiatives
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a team of professionals, ensuring innovation and collaboration
Ensure regulatory compliance of Nursing Department strategies and protocols
Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections, assisting in any required plans of correction
Collaborate on department financial objectives with leadership
Provide values-led and trauma-informed leadership, fostering an inclusive culture
Exemplify Core Values of Compassion, Wellness, Excellence, and Empowerment in all interactions
Maintain professional licensure and stay updated on changes in compliance standards
Director of Clinical Compliance Skills and Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Registered Nurse license required
Minimum two years of clinical experience in long-term care facility required
Experience in MDS coordination, Quality Assurance, Long-term care regulations preferred
Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification required
Thorough understanding of long-term skilled nursing care regulations
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to function independently with flexibility and compassion
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
