The Spherion Alexandria, LA area is seeking a reliable and hardworking heavy lifter, 2nd shift (4p-4a) Material Handler-Loader to join the team.

The Material Handler-Loader is responsible for filling customer orders accurately and efficiently, using both manual and powered equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the customers receive their orders in a timely manner.


Responsibilities:
Fill orders from tickets or voice according to set quotas
Use pallet jacks and/or riding jacks to manually fill orders
Identify products by description and quantity, and transport them to the staging area
Check for accuracy in picking and maintain general housekeeping in the work area
Complete daily inspections of powered equipment
Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
Sort and place materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequence
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
Count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to Company standards

Working hours: 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM


Skills:
Forklift and electric riding pallet jack experience preferred

High School

Qualifications:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with [Company Name] safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is essential
Ability to read and write

Ability to repeatedly grasp, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout a 12 hour shift

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, or a flexible schedule as required
Must have a positive attitude, be dependable, and demonstrate initiative
Must be energetic and performance-driven
