- Master's degree in the required area of expertise or has at least 3 years of documented experience in related professional field with skills in the mission area
- Have experience in field or laboratory testing, project management, resource allocation, project safety, project proposals or professional certifications in related field
- Must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background investigation (financial and criminal) and apply for and maintain up to a Secret clearance and have a valid driver's license
- Develop models of proposed configurations in AutoCAD and present conclusions
- Document key findings and results from the various efforts into data and technical reports
- Prepare briefings to containing overview, methodology and results, modeling and simulation, and options for consideration including potential courses of action
- Review and analyze laboratory mechanical property material characterization data
- Utilize analysis skills, knowledge, judgment, and an understanding of engineering to author briefing slide reports of research findings
- May perform technical or grammatical reviews of technical reports, papers, journal articles, manuals, abstracts, technical letters, special reports, and presentation briefings
