    Bookkeeper/Controller

    Are you a meticulous number-cruncher with a knack for financial management? We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Comptroller to join our dynamic team. As a Comptroller, you'll be responsible for overseeing a wide range of financial tasks, including estimates and follow-on bids, bookkeeping and collection, tracking accounts at dump sites, managing insurance and registration, and ensuring compliance with government reports.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare accurate estimates and follow-on bids, collaborating with various departments to gather necessary information.
    • Maintain comprehensive bookkeeping records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
    • Manage the collection process, promptly addressing outstanding accounts and implementing effective strategies for resolution.
    • Monitor and reconcile accounts related to dump sites, ensuring accurate recording of expenses and revenues.
    • Oversee insurance policies and registrations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing claims when necessary.
    • Prepare and submit government reports, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations and ensuring compliance.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across departments.
