Mid-Level Network Engineer


Location:
Huntsville, AL, hybrid

Terms: 6 months Contract to Hire(will convert to FT)
Compensation: 40-45/hr W2, 90-95k conversion salary at 6 months

As a Mid-Level Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our network systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, and Ruckus technologies to drive the advancement of our network capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components using Cisco, Fortinet, and Ruckus technologies.
Implement and manage network security protocols and solutions to protect against cybersecurity threats.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality and uptime.
Collaborate with internal teams to assess business requirements and develop network solutions that align with organizational goals.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize network performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to ensure the continued evolution and enhancement of our network infrastructure.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience working as a Network Engineer, preferably in a mid-sized or large enterprise environment.
Strong proficiency in Cisco networking technologies, including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience with Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls and FortiAnalyzer.
Familiarity with Ruckus wireless networking technologies, including Ruckus access points and controllers.
Solid understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Ruckus certifications are a plus.
