    Greenville University is seeking an innovative scholar to serve as an adjunct instructor for Climb Experience to start in August 2024. The successful candidate will provide an experiential learning environment that is innovative and relevant. The selected candidate must provide evidence of a vibrant Christian faith, clearly understand and internalize the mission of Greenville University, and articulate the value of Christian higher education.

    Greenville University is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to serve as an instructor in the Dominican Republic. This position offers the opportunity to lead and shape experiences for students in an immersive gap semester experience. Professors in this position will teach in person classes at the SCORE International Campus in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic that will provide students with college credits and exposure to the pace and level of college academics. Adjunct instructors will have the opportunity to teach students in a classroom setting as well as introduce aspects of Dominican culture and reflect on their own faith and experiences in an effort to aid in the student's growth during this semester abroad.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Deliver a 3-credit course in SPAN 101: Introduction to Spanish.
    Engage students in meaningful exploration of the subject matter.
    Follow curriculum and assessments that align with program objectives and accreditation standards.
    Provide timely feedback and support to students to facilitate their successful completion of the course.
    Operate computer technologies relevant to the institution for in-person and online courses.
    Encourage students to practice language skills in and out of the classroom setting and challenge students to engage with members of the community in Spanish.
    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    Earned doctorate in field of Spanish from an accredited university. Master's degree candidates will be considered.
    Evidence of quality experience teaching at the collegiate level.
    Experience with Learning Management Systems.
    Oral and aural fluency in Spanish and English.
    Experience in cross-cultural education.
    • Utilize best practices for instruction.
    Possess excellent strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Possess excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills.
    Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
    Supervisory experience in an academic setting
