    Role Description

    Kennedy University of Leadership is seeking a University Registrar based in Florida, responsible for maintaining student records and program data, contributing to the institution's knowledge of student outcomes and quality of its academic programs. This position will work hand-in-hand with various academic and administrative teams and collaborate closely with executive managers within the organisations to enhance processes, ensure adherence to compliance standards, and foster student success throughout the university.

    Registrar Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the entire registration process, ensuring smooth handoff between teams to provide a seamless and efficient experience for all students.
    • Maintain academic records in compliance with licensing and accrediting regulating bodies as well as and institution's own policies and procedures
    • Process grades and issue transcripts and degrees accurately and confidentially.
    • Manage compliance with all relevant university policies and legal requirements regarding student records.
    • Coordinate the evaluation of transfer credits and prior experiential learning.
    • Administer academic adjustments for students with disabilities in collaboration with the curriculum and academic teams.
    • Manage student requests such as course retakes, extensions, cancellations, refunds, and academic appeals.
    • Monitor and address academic standing issues, including warnings, probation, and satisfactory academic progress.

    Course Scheduling and Academic Calendar:

    • Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of the academic calendar, including registration dates, deadlines, and academic breaks.
    • Coordinate with faculty and departments to ensure efficient classroom and resource scheduling.
    • Data Management and Reporting

    Academic Performance Monitoring:

    • Analyze student data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure the SMS and LMS courses and student enrolments are synched and daily maintenance of the records for accuracy (mainly automated)
    • Monitor and report on student retention and dropout rates, identifying at-risk students.
    • Manage the end-of-term reporting processes, including grade submissions and academic standing updates.

    Documentation and Compliance:

    • Work closely with Compliance department and curriculum department to adhere to all compliance policies and procedures.
    • Produce the academic catalog annually, incorporating changes approved by the Academic Council.
    • Prepare detailed reports on student outcomes and program effectiveness for internal/external stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • Prior experience in academic administration and registration within higher education.
    • Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
    • Deep understanding of compliance standards in higher education.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup-like environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of curriculum management processes and policies.
    • Passionate and stays informed about the latest educational trends and best practices in student success.
