    CIS Secure Computing serves the secure communications market as a leading provider of communications and computing solutions for government and commercial customers.

    CIS designs and manufactures a wide range of products, which include secure telephones (under the TSG protocol), secure computers (TEMPEST), encrypted tactical communication systems, secure tele- and video-conferencing systems, and a variety of specialty systems used in secure networks.

    This position will work primarily on site at our campus in Ashburn, VA. Relocation assistance dollars have not been budgeted for this position.

    Responsibilities
    Works with minimal supervision in a highly visible position with active contact with employees across the organization
    Acts with the utmost confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy with all levels of leadership and staff using sound business judgment
    Acts professionally internally and externally to proactively promote CIS Secure as an Employer of Choice
    Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
    Manages several day-to-day HR Department processes ensuring issues are properly resolved and/or escalated, as necessary
    Researches, develops and/or revises, implements, administers, and interprets company HR policies, procedures, and programs

    Provides leadership and support to Program/Functional Managers and employees in the areas of employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation, conflict resolution, and compensation and benefits analysis.

    Works in partnership with managers through employee performance processes including progressive corrective actions, ensuring thorough and appropriate communication, documentation, and fairness to the employee and the business.

    Prepares ad hoc department reports for management, detailing employee information/HR data, as needed.
    Conducts benchmarking to ensure compensation is a match for the job description and geographic market.
    Ensures company compliance with federal and state mandated programs such as EEOC reporting requirements, AAP reporting and compliance, etc. and other legislation that impacts the employer-employee relationship
    Performs other projects and duties as assigned by the VP of Human Resources

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:
    BS/BA in Human Resources or other business-related field

    CERTIFICATION(S):
    PHR/SPHR (or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP), strongly preferred


    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
    5-7 years of progressively responsible positions in Human Resources (preferably in a Gov-Con or Corporate environment)
    Strong employee relations, retention, engagement experience
    Working knowledge of employment law, both federal and state.
    iCIMS experience, strongly preferred
    Payroll system experience.

    Paycor, specific experience strongly preferred
    Computer literate in Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet applications.
    Working knowledge with AAP compliance
    Employee Training & Development- Career Pathing experience

    Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism and work with tact and diplomacy while maintaining a sense of humor

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal capabilities, and strong presentation skills
    Project management ability
    Ability to effectively manage vendor, contract, or consulting relationships
    Ability to meet deadlines and work professionally under pressure and with a sense of urgency
