- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, surveyors, and urban planners, to develop roadway designs and improvements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess existing road conditions to identify areas for enhancement.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for road construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and government agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
- Oversee the implementation of road repaving, ADA ramp installations, sidewalk repairs, and complete overhaul projects.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Manage project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and address any budgetary constraints.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to provide regular project updates and address any challenges.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to roadway engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in roadway design, construction, or transportation engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other relevant design software.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal transportation standards and guidelines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not mandatory.
