The Rapid Rehousing Specialist is responsible for providing rapid placement and stabilization of households who have experienced homelessness into safe, decent, and affordable housing.
The Specialist will serve as the key liaison for the Rental Subsidy Program and provide housing support, crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy for clients.
This position will provide trauma-informed services, linking the individual to essential resources to increase their safety, stability and empowerment.The Specialist will provide intake and assessment services, housing location services, and conduct follow-up as specified in the individual client service plan, and as needed by funder's requirements.
The responsibilities of the Specialist will be conducted at Congreso's main office, 216 W Somerset Street, in the community, within client's home, and remotely as needed.
This position reports to the Housing Stabilization Manager. This is a hybrid position, requiring home and community visits and some days in the office.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Minimum Experience:
2-3 years direct experience with housing counseling advocacy and child welfare system or related field with a focus on special needs populations.
Certification/License:
Position will require competition of certification in housing counseling and Housing Quality Standard within first 18 months of hire.
