    Senior Software Engineers will have a range of responsibilities from shaping and implementing strategic products to ensuring that clients stay on the leading edge of technology. Responsible to contribute across the technology stack - Driving and standardizing cloud practices, building scalable and performant services, data modeling and quality, profiling and tuning, delivering proof of concepts on new technology, databases, dev-ops and contributing to application development.

    What you will do:

    • Design, build, and maintain a highly scalable cloud native digital services platform consisting of a multitude of data products and services.
    • Show initiative and skill at identifying bottlenecks through profiling, metrics and solutioning for low latency processing and services
    • Operate with minimal oversite. Mentor less experienced developers through teaching and demonstration.
    • Provide technical leadership to small teams of more junior staff, but 90% of your time will be spent on hands-on implementation.
    • Be seen as an expert within the technical components of the domains/products/pipelines/ integrations.
    • Make architecture recommendations at a team level.
    • Technical lead for problems facing the team.

    What you will bring:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
    • Minimum of 6 years of software development experience required with strong emphasis on writing code and delivering features, preferably with Agronomic data or Precision-Agronomic systems.
    • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining highly scalable, performant, and fault tolerant data processing pipelines and services on AWS.
    • 2+ years of experience building services that are consumed by internal and external stakeholders (Engineering, Analytics, Digital Products, Data Science groups etc.).
    • Demonstrable experience in collecting and using metrics to fine tune latencies in APIs and Services as well as speeding up data processing pipelines.
    • Practiced in code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, and application security and excellent instincts for software architecture.
    • Expertise with one or more of the following: TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, REST APIs, and GraphQL APIs.
    • Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks.

    Salary Range: $106, $160,200.00 This range is estimated for the Senior Software Engineer position in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

    In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
