    Overview

    The Director of FP&A will be an integral member of the Anova Finance Team. This position reports to the CFO and partners with functional leaders. Its responsibilities include portfolio management, decision support and business partnering, financial modeling, pricing strategy, M&A, and other operational finance activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Business Partnering & Decision Support: Provide business management and analytical support to the CFO, other Anova leaders, and Anova investors to support tactical decision making
      • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and administer plan-to-forecast models and processes
      • Monthly Reporting & Analysis: Monitor revenue and expenses against plan, and develop financial and non-financial metrics to measure strategic and operating performance
      • Management Reporting: Design and develop reports, visuals/charts, and dashboards
      • Other Decision Support: Partner with cross-functional leaders to assess profitability of solutions, commercialize new offerings, develop pricing strategies, provide deal-specific analyses, and evaluate growth opportunities
    • Business Cases: Partner with internal stakeholders to create financial models to evaluate organic investments like new product development and partnership opportunities, and monitor post-commercialization performance
    • Strategic Pricing: Partner with Product Management and Revenue/Sales teams to develop and implement pricing strategies for capital + SaaS and HaaS business models, distributors, and custom contracts/deals
    • Commission Plans: Partner with Revenue/Sales team to revise the annual sales incentive plan
    • M&A: Collaborate with CFO and functional leads on opportunity assessments, due diligence, financial modeling, and integration and separation activities
    • Other Projects
      • Data & Reporting: Support project team with data mapping and consolidation, standardized report design and testing, and various business analytics
      • Digital & Process Improvements: Embrace continuous improvement, partnering with others to identify and execute cross-functional system and process improvement initiatives
    • Relationship Management & Communications
      • Establish and maintain on-going relationships across all departments
      • Deliver cogent, fact-based analyses and recommendations via written and oral presentations to business partners and the broader organization
    • Talent Development: Partner with CFO to develop a high-performing, strategic finance team including mentorship for and oversight of FP&A team member activities

    Qualifications

    • Education
      • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, and/or Accounting
      • MBA preferred
    • Experience
      • 10+ years of relevant experiences including financial analysis, strategic planning and forecasting, pricing, corporate development/M&A, and accounting of revenue, expense, capital, and staffing
      • Knowledge of financial/accounting systems (e.g., Epicor, Quick Consols)
      • Enterprise system implementation and migration experience considered a plus
      • Industry experience with IoT business models considered a plus
    • Skills
      • Proven team player and relationship management across organizational units
      • Proven leader with supervision and staff developing experience
      • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
      • Advanced PC skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, business intelligence software like Power BI)
      • Self-motivation and proficient project and time management
      • Effective communication with various levels of management with focus on organizational transformation
