Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Lawn and Landscape Technician, where your passion for outdoor maintenance and landscaping will thrive In this role, you will be responsible for creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces by performing a variety of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and construction tasks. Whether you're trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or maintaining irrigation systems, your skills will help transform everyday environments into stunning landscapes. Duties
- Mow lawns, edge borders, and perform detailed gardening tasks to ensure pristine turf and plant health
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform landscape maintenance and installation projects
- Trim trees and shrubs using pruning shears, saws, or chainsaws to promote healthy growth and safety
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of lawns and gardens
- Assist with hardscape projects such as patio installation, retaining walls, or pathways using excavation equipment like excavators
- Conduct seasonal snow plowing to keep pathways clear during winter months
- Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping machinery and tools
- Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as planting, pruning, mulching, and soil preparation
- Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., shovels, rakes) and power tools (e.g., trimmers, blowers) efficiently
- Familiarity with excavation equipment like excavators for larger construction or hardscape projects
- Understanding of horticulture principles for plant health and landscape design
- Experience with tree care including trimming, removal, or planting procedures
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for efficient watering solutions
- Ability to perform general maintenance on outdoor equipment and machinery
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures in construction and landscaping environments
