    What you get to do:


    Manage the execution of multiple, simultaneous capital improvement projects from design concept through construction completion for UnitedParks & Resorts (UP&R) theme park(s).

    Oversee the planning, design, bidding, permitting, issuance of contracts, construction coordination, and project completion for assigned projects.
    Lead the capital budget development and capital project execution process.
    Establish, track, and manage project schedules.
    Oversee and direct consultants throughout all phases of design development. Coordinate and lead project review meetings. Comply with company design standards, and ensure alignment between desired scope and established budget.
    Coordinate the efforts of project design consultants and contractors with park stakeholders and within park schedules. Collaborates with Park leadership teams to ensure stakeholder needs are appropriately addressed.

    Position is accountable for strict adherence to established project budgets and schedules, UP&R Capital Projects Controls & Procedures, Attractions group direction for projects, UP&R Standardization directives, EH&S Polices, and all applicable local or industry codes and standards.

    Engage and coordinate the efforts of internal resources, including UP&R Environmental, Legal, Safety, Engineering, Sourcing, Revenue, and others, as needed to complete assigned projects.

    Perform other duties as assigned.
    This position reports to park Design & Engineering (D&E) leadership
    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field

    What it takes to succeed:
    Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect preferred
    Five years of construction and project management experience, preferably in a theme park environment.
    Demonstrated success in managing the design and/or construction process, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Knowledge of the project development and execution process, including programming, design, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, bidding, negotiating, managing the means and methods of construction, as well as overseeing project closeout.

    Technical and functional knowledge of site and building systems, as well as code and other related requirements, for site utilities, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water filtration, fire protection, etc.

    Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, project estimates, schedule of values, and contractual terms and conditions.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
    Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.

    Ability to effectively lead a diverse group of design, engineering and technical professionals, and flourish in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment.

    Position may require domestic travel.

    This is a salaried position and pay is commensurate with experience.
