    Job Summary:
    Under the supervision of the Director for Information Technology (IT)oversees the development,
    execution, support, and evaluation of a robust and comprehensive ITsystem. Works with senior
    leadership, departments, and schools to help them effectively utilizethe applications of
    technology within their respective areas of responsibility. In addition,the director focuses the
    department on innovation, efficiency, and implementation of effectiveindustry leading
    telecommunication and technology practices that will aid the district inproviding the highest
    quality educational programs, services and the infrastructure to ensuresmooth management of
    the overall operation.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Bachelors degree or higher preferred
    • Experience and training in Information Technology preferred
    • Knowledge of company supported systems, including but not limitedto, Windows
    desktops/Laptops, Windows Servers, and Google Workspace for Education

    • Working knowledge of office equipment
    • Working knowledge of K-12 education.
    • Maintain current TB testing as required by Health Departmentregulations (after an
    employment offer is made)

    Performance Responsibilities:

    • Oversees functioning of the technology operations of the districtfor the purpose of
    ensuring an effective, efficient and safe environment, where technologyequipment and
    applications are utilized appropriately and efficiently to supportadministrative and
    educational functions of the district.

    • Provide consultation to district administrators and teachers onplanning and implementing
    curriculum with technology integrated for the purpose of having everyoneworking
    fluently and efficiently.

    • Consult with users and evaluate requirements, recommend designs andlayouts, provide
    cost analyses, plan short, medium, and long range projects, andcoordinate tasks for
    installation of technologies for the purpose of providing secure, costeffective information
    systems tailored to the users needs.

    • Communicates technology related activities in a timely manner to allstakeholders.
    • Provide network documentation, training, and guidance to computingsystem clients and
    programmers for the purpose of keeping the staff informed and trained oncurrent
    systems.

    • Conduct technical research on technology upgrades and components todetermine
    feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systemsto maintain

    upgraded and working information systems.

    • Develop and conduct an efficient and effective software selectionprocess to maintain the
    most usable software for the district.

    • Institute setup, support, and maintain procedures for all networkprotocols to ensure that
    all the information systems communicate correctly.

    • Work with the districts grant writers to establish alternativefunding for technology when
    applicable to ensure the proper funding is available.

    • Act as the districts technology liaison to the community to makesure that everyone is
    given the proper information.

    • Wor k as a team member with other technical staff, to ensureconnectivity and
    compatibility between systems for the purpose of providing maximumup-time for the
    network.
